In today’s episode spend some time looking at the prophet Micah.
Micah covers much of the same time in history as Isaiah and Hosea.
He was active during the reigns of King Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah.
His work overlapped with the prophets Hosea, and Isaiah.
He prophesied about Israel (the northern kingdom) and Judah.
Micah describes his work as being sent to “lament and wail” as he went about “barefoot and naked” (Micah 1:8). He shows to the people the reaction they OUGHT to be having towards the sin that is overtaking their countries. There is much in Micah’s message that we could learn from today. Put aside sinful ways and trust in God instead of nations. Simple.
